Large Plush Horse

Oh, what a child wouldn't give to have a horse all their own! Unfortunately, not all children get to be so lucky. They can, however, have the next best thing: a large plush horse. Some large plush horses are so big, they can be ridden by children up to 100 pounds in weight. Just imagine having a plush horse without any of the upkeep! Wouldn't Mom and Dad be happy about that?!

Horses were first domesticated around 4000 BCE. It has been reported that by 2000 BCE, domesticated horses were being used throughout the Eurasian continent. Horses were used to help farm soil, to wage war, to provide recreation, and even for companionship. Today, they are also active in police work, entertainment, and therapy.

Horses have always served as symbols of power, grace and freedom. They provide an unending source for anyone's imagination. The domesticated horse is just one member of the horse family called Equidae. Only six other species survive, some precariously. There are more than 300 breeds of horses the world over; they are generally classified into three categories: "Hot bloods" (speed and endurance used for racing), "cold bloods" (used for slow, heavy work), and "warmbloods" (a cross between hot and cold blood - used for riding). A child won't really care what 'breed' of large plush horse they have - as long as they have one is all that matters!

Horses can vary in size depending on what breed they are. They have long heads and necks and slender legs. A mane covers their neck and they have long tails which are covered with long flowing hair. A horses coat color is diverse and is often complimented with very distinct markings. Plush horses are modelled after their real counterparts. They are so realistic looking that any child could imagine they are out in a large open field with their beloved friend. A plush large horse is the next best thing to a real one and any child will cherish these lovely plush animals.

Wild horses, like mustangs, are particularly interesting, especially to children who enjoy stories about horses. They typically roam the North American West and were first descended from horses brought to the America's by the Spanish. Today, wild horses are protected in the United States and only a few hundred continue to survive in Alberta and British Columbia in Canada. With a large plush horse in their possession, a child can have it as long as they choose.
